Yeast will eat the sugar and breath out CO2 or known as Carbon Dioxide.

What are best conditions for brewing

For normal ale Fermentation temperatures can range from 60 to 78 °F  but for larger fermentations can go from 45 to 55 °F

Hello everyone!

In art class we are learning about a new artist called Henri Rousseau, if you don't know who Henri is he was a artist in the 1844 but died in the 1910s. At first Henri wasn't to popular most of Henri paintings are based off nature or the jungle.

Here is a piece of art he did

He is a piece of art he did it is called "The Snake Charmer" made in 1907

Five Facts About Henri

  • Henri loves nature

  • Henri couldn't afford art lessons so he was self taught

  • He reads about a big art exhibition and puts in his art that was the first time he displayed his art

  • People would say mean things about his art

  • He would go to the louvre to look at his favorite artists to learn about anatomy

Two words from Quizlet I didn't understand

Foreground - The information you see as the closest to you in an Art image.

Drama: Maui And The Fish Tableaus

 Hello Everyone,

In drama we have been focusing on tableaus, if you don't know what tableaus they are like freeze frames. you stand in a position for like 6 seconds and then move on to your next one. here are some photos of my class doing it.

Questions!

1. What worked well in this tableau?

-  We got to choose our teammates which I think helped because you could choose your friends and work better. so I would say the teamwork worked well in the tableau.

2. What would you improve or change if you were to perform again?

- I would try better, honestly most of time I did the tableau I wasn't trying my best so if I was to do it again I would try better

3. Identify where your group has used facial expressions, physicality and/ or levels effectively

-   When it comes to facial expressions I think my group was good with that like 7/10 it was good but could been better,  Physicality I think that our group physicality was really good I would do a 9/10, levels they could I been better they could of been better 8/10

4. Evaluate how well your transitions worked between tableaus

- I transitions and tableaus were good though we were really slow and we could of been faster to get in our positions so we did good but we could of did better.

This is when we were doing a village I was grass, our physicality was good and we all had different levels
This photo we had to do a scary monster I was lying on the floor dead but we used a lot of different levels

I forgot what we were doing in this photo but everyone had lots of different levels and lots of physicality

this is one of the Maui and the fish tableaus we had to do, we had to make are own string ray from the story.

Shaping Up

 Hello Bloggers,

This term for hurumanu 3 we having been doing math, which I bet you guessed already but for shaping up we have been focusing on Geometry things like line/angles, polygons, 2D 3D shapes and I'm going to talk about some of them let's get started!

Line & Angles I didn't enjoy this one that much it was kind of boring we found out about different lines like points, parallels, intersecting lines, ray, line segments.

parallel line were straight not wonky, intersecting would cross over each other, points lines just had a dot in the middle, ray went side ways & line segments were a line with two end points

That's all about the lines

  • Reflection/Rotation/Translation , I don't have much to say about this one all I can really do is explain it
Reflection is when the figures gives a mirror image,
Rotation is when a figure moves around a point,
Translation the figure moves in a straight direction
  • 2D 3D for this we learned about nets
We Made Nets and had to explain them and match them up with the right one

Remember

  1. Where was Kate Sheppard born?

  • Kate Sheppard was born in Liverpool, England in 1847

  1. Why do you think Kate Sheppard was placed on the New Zealand $10 note?

  • I think Kate Sheppard is on the $10 note because she was a hero to the woman in New Zealand, standing up for women's rights and her rights! She would have been brave to pull something like that, to show that woman can do anything!

  1. What does WCTU stand for?

  • Women’s Christian Temperance Union

                                             True or False?

  1. Kate Sheppard was born in 1847

                 - False

  1. Nearly 32,000 signatures were collected in Sheppard’s petition

  • True

  1. Kate Sheppard’s image is on the new Zealand $20 note

  • False

     Understand Explain Ideas and Concepts

  1. Summarise this article in your own words

Now in New Zealand all genders are equal, but in the old days it wasn’t like that. Until a woman called Kate Sheppard came around in 1868 before the whole thing happened she joined the WCTU (Women’s Christian Temperance Union) and married her husband Walter Sheppard. Moving on she went all around New Zealand, getting people to sign a petition, over 32,00 women signed. then in 1893 women could vote! So everything that she did wasn’t for nothing!.

2. In the following sentences highlight the nouns and underline the verb

Sheppard travelled all over New Zealand, writing to newspapers, holding public meetings and talking to members of parliament

Women could now vote! New Zealand woman were the first in the world to be able to vote

(Writing can be used as both)

3. Using the word bank below, fill in the gaps to complete these sentences

Note        32,000          Believe            Postage stamp

  1. Many men didn’t believe women should be able to vote

  2. Kate Sheppard collected 32,000 signatures in a petition

  3. Sheppard featured on a postage stamp and in 1991, her image was placed on the New Zealand $10 Note .

  1. In the following paragraph from the text, circle or use a highlighter to show the key words  and/or phrases*

In 1893 Kate Sheppard and her team collected the signatures of nearly 32,000 women and men to show how many people supported their cause. They also had the support of the Prime minister at the time, John Balance. This petition was 270 metres long!

Art

Hello Bloggers!

As you see in the title we are talking about art! fun right? (It's been alright) anyways, I am going to talk about the many stuff I have done in art. (In 4 weeks) we have done a lot anyways lets get started. (P.S this all relates to stop-motion)

First topic - flip books! - So for the first week of art, we learned a lot about flip books and even made one of our own. thought I don't like mine but I will still share it, we had to pick a little scenario it be real or fake. I did a fake one. I really don't remember too much (I have a bad memory) time to move on to the pictures. (Sorry my camera REALLY bad) My flip book was about a friend and another friend playing ball and the power bar at the top is how hard the other friend was going to hit and the friend gets hit really hard and gets taken by a UFO it's weird and makes nonsense anyway moving on to our Second topic.

Second Topic - Scenario Choice - For this we had to get in a group with about 3-4 people I have 2 people in my group (including me is 3) I'm with my friends Talisa & Delilah (Go Check out there blogs to see what they did in art class!) for what we chose the scenario is about a girl (shes a superhero) that can't tie her shoes, and then there Mr. Patriarchy that knows how to tie his and loves to manslam I can't say much about this because we are still in the works with it!

Third Topic - Character Development -
main character.

Mr Patriarchy

Fourth Topic - Scenery

Here are my ideas of the secenery

That's all I have for you today have a great and goodbye!
